​The UCEAP Peace Corps Prep is a free certificate program that can help you develop the skills and experience to become a highly competitive applicant for the Peace Corps and prepare for a career in international development, public service, NGO sector, or diplomacy. Regardless of whether you are Peace Corps bound, the program helps prepare you for life after college.

    Requirements depend upon desired Peace Corps volunteer placement site:
    1. Latin America placement: one year (3 quarters or 2 semesters) of intermediate-level Spanish
    2. West Africa placement: one intermediate or higher course in French or Portuguese
    3. Everywhere else: one college-level foreign language class

    This requirement can also be fulfilled by a letter of proficiency from a professor or a score of intermediate or higher on a placement test.
